Flower Meadow & Grass Seeds Mix

Sun Mix

The flowers in the mix produce yellowish blooms and create a special meadow of light-colored flowers that bloom throughout the summer. If you allow the plants to scatter mature seeds once the flowering has finished, there will be even more flowers in your meadow next year.

Mix contents:
61.50% flower seeds
38.50% grass seeds
1.5 liters of natural vermiculite granules
! Before sowing, all ingredients should be mixed and then sown evenly.

Seeds should be sown from April to early June or from September to early November. If seeds are sown in autumn into properly prepared soil, earlier flowering can be expected in the spring of next year.

Sowing rate: the mix is sufficient for an area of 50 m².
Meadow height: 20–60 cm

How to sow wildflower seeds

There are several methods for sowing wild meadows. You can sow a flowering meadow to form a field, or group wild meadow parts neatly into beds or in the borders of a flower garden. Whichever way you choose, wildflowers will always look impressive.

It is particularly important that the vermiculite in the box and the flower/grass seed mix are thoroughly mixed before sowing to become homogeneous. To do this, pour the components from the box into a larger container and mix. Water the soil properly for a moist surface. The mix is now ready for sowing. The contents of the mix in the box are sufficient for an area of 50 m². After sowing, rake the surface gently to insert the seeds. It is recommended to cover the area with a thin layer 0.5 cm soil.

Wildflower meadow maintenance

For the meadow to grow and flourish even during prolonged droughts, it should be watered.
Meadows should not be fertilized. Fertilization will promote grasses and weeds instead of the flowering meadow plants. But the meadow needs mowing each year. This should be done at the end of the season, when the flowering period is over.
If there is strong re-growth in the autumn, make another cut – leave the meadow no higher than 10–15 cm during the winter.
